William Wordsworth (1770-1850) was one of the pioneers of the English Romantic movement. Some of his noted works include “Lines Composed a few miles above Tintern Abbey”, “Ode on the Intimations of Immortality”, “Prelude”.

কবি লক্ষ্য করেছেন যে সূর্য এর আগে কখনও এত সুন্দর রশ্মি বিকিরণ করেনি, যা পাহাড় এবং উপত্যকাকে ঝিলমিলে আলোয় ভরিয়ে দেয়। এত শান্তি উনি এর আগে কখনো অনুভব করেননি। টেমস নদী তার নিজের গতিতে ধীরে ধীরে বয়ে যায়। বড়ো বারিগুলিকে এখনো শহরের মাঝে ঘুমিয়ে আছে বলে মনে হয়।
